AHP is an amazing tool that can be used in steps 1 and 5 of the Systematic Innovation process. In Step 1 we typically use it to calculate the importance ratings of customer requirements. In Step 5 we use it to calculate the importance of our evaluation criteria used to evaluate design concepts. AHP creates ratio scale data which is important for further calculations used in the process. Excel Template available.
